MenoPantry × Bookclubs

Add a MenoParty to your next Book Club.

The best part of book club has always been the table full of women doing life together. These days, that's midlife.

What's a MenoParty? Think of it as book club—with a nutrition plot twist. All you need to do is gather, make smoothies together, learn a few surprising things about nutrition and midlife, and be open to the kind of conversation that usually starts with: "I thought it was just me..." We'll ship the kit to you, on the house.

Preparation
01 / 03

What you'll need.

Almost nothing — that's the point. If you can make a smoothie, you can host a MenoParty.

  • Your MenoParty kit — it ships free when you order above.
  • Milk or a milk alternative — whatever your group likes.
  • A blender — canister, immersion, or bullet; ideally 600W or more.
  • Frozen fruit of your choice — around ¾ cup, but you can eyeball it.
  • Cups for everyone, and a comfortable place to sit.
  • About 30 minutes, or more — and a little willingness to be real with each other.
A little something in the mail

Name tags included.

Your kit arrives with name tags for the group — and each one is printed with the question that opens every MenoParty. (More on that in a moment.)

The run of show
02 / 03

How the party flows.

Six easy beats. Read them straight down as you go — or print this page and hand it to a co-host.

01
Gather

Welcome everyone in.

Pour something, hand out the name tags, and start with a high-five — literally. Go around and have everyone high-five the person beside them and say their name out loud.

It's a little silly on purpose. It loosens the room, and it gets everyone touching, laughing, and present before the real talk begins.

While you're at it — check in

Have everyone scan to join. It's how they'll get tonight's recipe, the conversation prompts, and a welcome offer on their first tub.

02
Share

One thing you like about getting older.

This is the question on your name tags, and it's how every MenoParty begins. Go around the circle and let each woman answer. There are no wrong answers — and the honest ones tend to surprise the whole room.

If anyone's stuck, here's what other women have said:

I care a lot less about what people think.
I finally know what I actually want.
My friendships have gotten deeper.
I've stopped apologizing for taking up space.
I trust myself now.
I've earned every one of my opinions.

Sip

Make the smoothie, and keep talking.

Now the fun part. Blend a round of Menomix smoothies, hand them out, and settle back in. Here's the recipe — and a few questions to keep the conversation going while you sip.

The Basic Smoothie

One scoop, one minute.

  • 1 scoop Menomix
  • 12–16 oz. milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • ¾ cup frozen fruit of your choice

Blend until smooth and pass out tastes to everybody. Feel free to improvise, or make multiple recipes — check out our recipe page for inspiration.

Questions worth asking

Keep the conversation going.

01What's a ritual or self-care practice that makes you feel good lately?
02What would you tell your younger self about this chapter?
03Who's a woman ahead of you in age that you admire — and why?
04What's something that's confusing, or that you want to learn more about? (We bet you're not alone.)
06
Take

Take it home.

Before everyone heads out, send them home with three things — a welcome gift, a way to go deeper, and a way to stay close.

A welcome gift

Check your inbox.

Because everyone checked in, a welcome offer on your first tub is already on its way by email — along with tonight's recipe and the prompts.
