Brand Story
For menopause symptoms, look to the pantry, not the pill bottle.
Menopantry was created to make midlife nutrition simpler, more effective, and grounded in real food.
Founder Kate Howe came to this work after realizing that the way she had always eaten—healthy by most standards—was no longer delivering the same results in perimenopause. At the same time, her co-founder, registered dietitian Caitlin Hosmer, had spent years helping patients improve their health through food, with a focus on protein, fiber, and plant diversity.
Together, they saw a gap: while many women are actively seeking solutions for energy, weight, and overall wellbeing in midlife, the market is dominated by either fitness-focused protein products or supplements that are difficult to evaluate and integrate into daily life.
At the same time, a growing body of research is reshaping how menopause symptoms are understood. Hormonal changes—particularly the loss of estrogen—can affect the gut’s lining, microbial balance, and inflammatory response. These shifts don’t just impact digestion; they are increasingly linked to broader, systemic symptoms through the gut-brain axis and immune system. Diet is key to symptom management.
MenoPantry was built in response to this insight—looking to the pantry, not the pill bottle. The company centers on three foundations of nutrition: adequate protein, sufficient fiber, and a wide range of plant-based nutrients. These are the same nutrition pillars associated in research with supporting gut health, reducing inflammation, and promoting more stable energy and overall wellbeing.
Its first product, Menomix, is designed to make that foundation easy to achieve in one daily smoothie.
Expert Perspective
“The hormonal changes women experience during menopause contribute to inflammation that is closely linked to changes in the gut. These shifts can influence a wide range of symptoms through the gut-brain axis and immune system.
Nutrients such as fiber, polyphenols, probiotics, antioxidants, and omega-3s play a key role in supporting gut balance and reducing inflammation.
Women deserve simple, reliable ways to get these nutrients through everyday food.”

Kate Howe, Founder & CEO
Kate Howe is the founder and CEO of Menopantry, a food-first nutrition company focused on supporting women through perimenopause and menopause.

Kate came to MenoPantry through personal experience—recognizing that the way she had always eaten was no longer delivering the same results in midlife. She holds a BA summa cum laude in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University, a BFA from California College of the Arts, and an MFA from Yale University.
“Over the last 18 months, I bought all the supplements being fed to me on social media – I visited gyms and doctors’ offices – and it wasn’t until I started working with a nutritionist did I finally start to feel like myself again.” – Kate Howe
“The challenge isn’t knowing what’s healthy—it’s doing it consistently. Our goal was to make that easier, every day.” – Kate Howe

“While food is one piece of a larger puzzle, more and more contemporary research is revealing how many menopause symptoms are mediated by gut health – which comes down to diet.” – Caitlin Hosmer
